Levan Khabeishvili, one of the leaders of the United National Movement (UNM), was arrested on 11 September 2025 near the offices of the television channel Formula by officers of the State Security Service.
He was charged under Article 339, Part 2 of the Criminal Code — promising a bribe to a public official to influence their duties. The Prosecutor's Office claims he attempted to influence a public official in connection with the October 4 protest events.
Khabeishvili is one of the most prominent political figures detained in connection with the protest movement.
